Storage servers are an excellent way to store information while still maintaining a centralized access point. You may be interested in a storage server for business data, services, or just to take some of the weight off the server running your website. Whatever the case, storage servers can be useful for storing large or small quantities of data. On a storage server, the data can be accessed at any point.
A storage server, as you might have guessed, depends most on the storage space of the server. It doesn’t require a lot of processing power, as a database server might, because it is not continually receiving queries and fetching data. Instead, the storage server merely needs a slightly larger disk space amount than the data it is intended to store. If the data is continually growing, then you may want to check out a larger disk space that the data can grow into.
We’ve put together a basic recommendation for storage servers. However, as we mentioned before, this really depends on the amount of data you are storing. Feel free to use this as a base and tweak the server to best fit your needs. If these resources seem like a good match for your site, you can sign up for the storage server package here.

We recommend a large amount of disk space, with a less powerful CPU and RAM amount. You can customize the disk space to fit your specific needs. However, we do suggest that you get a bit more than the amount of data you currently plan to store. If you have some buffer room, any unexpected data you may need to add later won’t put you over your storage amount.
However, if you do run out of buffer room, you can contact our support team and arrange for additional storage.
