The pair headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, PA along the Monongahela River. We’re here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to monitor and maintain your server and guarantee network and server uptime in excess of 99.9%. You can always count on us to be available to you from our Pittsburgh office.
Fun Fact: Before becoming home to your favorite web host, our office building was the Gimbel Brothers department store warehouse.
2. Can I get a free trial?
No, we don’t offer free trials. We do, however, offer a generous 100-day money-back guarantee. Try out our hosting service for 100 days or less and if you’re not satisfied, you’ll receive a full refund.
3. How do I sign up for an account?
Signing up is easy! Once you decide which hosting plan you need, click sign up and you’ll be redirected to a secure online system for order processing. Here’s some of the information you’ll need to complete your order:
- Email address
- Billing information
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Type of account you need

4. How do I set up my pair email?
It depends on what kind of device you have. You can check out our Knowledge Base to learn the specifics for your device.
4a. How do I reset my mailbox password?
If you’re having trouble logging into your account, click on the “Need Help Logging In?” link on the ACC login page. Then, enter your username in the open field and click Reset My Password. You should then receive an email with a reset link so you can create a new password for your account.
4b. What do I do if I am unable to access my pair email?
There are three main reasons that could be causing problems with your email:
- Your server settings could be configured incorrectly.
- Your encryption settings could be set up wrong.
- You could be using the wrong password.

5. What’s the difference between WP Hosting and Shared Hosting for WordPress?
WP hosting and Shared hosting are both good options for your WordPress site, but what’s the difference? WP hosting by pair is optimized specifically for WordPress sites to achieve peak performance and speed. Shared hosting is a little less expensive than WP hosting, but your server isn’t optimized for WordPress the same way.

5a. What does “WordPress-optimized” hosting mean?
WordPress-optimized hosting means your server is equipped to handle the resource-intensive CMS. While our WordPress-optimized plans are designed for the speed and security of a WordPress website, you do not need to have a WP hosting account for your WordPress site. 6. Where did “pair” come from?
You need a website and a web host to foster your ideas, build your business, and share your passion with the world. So did we. What started as a passion project – building a website about pinball – became the original Pittsburgh tech company. Founded in 1995 by Kevin Martin, a pinball enthusiast who couldn’t find a web host he liked, pair Networks has been around longer than Google. Kevin named the company pair because it took a team of two to get it off the ground.
