At Pair Networks, infrastructure has always been at the heart of what we do. Since we opened our doors in 1996, we’ve had a singular focus: providing world-class hosting backed by rock-solid technology. We back that up with over 25 years of managing and operating enterprise-grade datacenters.

We started with a single server rack in 1996. By 2000, we had built our first datacenter from the ground up with direct connections to network providers, redundant power systems, and secure data halls. That facility grew to more than 10,000 square feet and has been running our customers’ websites ever since. 

Over the years, we’ve kept it up to date by regularly upgrading our hardware, network architecture, and security protocols. We’ve always taken pride in owning and managing our infrastructure, and our on-site facilities team and system engineers have 25 years of experience keeping things running smoothly. 

Reinvesting in Your Success

This year, we’re doing it again. We’re pushing forward and reinvesting in the future with the launch of our brand new datacenter: 

1. We’ve installed a brand new fleet of servers into a new data hall featuring completely rebuilt architecture. Everything from power to cabling to server layout has been reimagined and improved.
   
2. Built within an advanced facility, our new space brings increased capacity, better redundancy, and significantly improved cooling and power efficiency.
   
3. This is a full reinvention of our infrastructure to meet the needs of today’s web. And we’re excited to say: this is the best datacenter we’ve ever built.

What’s New in Our State-of-the-Art Datacenter

Our new datacenter isn’t just a new space. We completely rebuilt our infrastructure to give your websites better performance and reliability. Let’s take a look at what makes this new facility special. 

1. Brand New Facility

We’ve moved into a new data hall located within an ISO 27001-certified facility, meaning it meets the highest standards for data security and operational reliability.

The new space provides:

• Greater power capacity for more robust servers
  
• Advanced cooling to keep systems efficient and stable
  
• Strict access controls, so your data stays protected at all times
  

2. All-New Network Infrastructure

We rebuilt our entire network from scratch, and the improvements are significant: 

• Our new facility connects to a blend of multiple Tier 1 network carriers, with over 30 providers on-site. This gives us faster, more intelligent routing and far more resilient connections to the internet.
  
• Every rack now has redundant 2x100Gb uplinks to significantly increase connectivity and eliminate single points of failure (meaning a single hardware failure won’t take anything offline)
  
• Our highly available NVMe storage cluster keeps your data triplicated across multiple racks and connects through a redundant 100Gb internal data network. This ensures your content stays fast, safe, and available, even in the event of outages.
• Each server now uses 25Gb bonded ports (upgraded from the old 1Gb). That’s 25x more bandwidth for your site’s data!
  

3. Completely New Server Fleet

Every single server in our new datacenter is brand new, built using the latest and fastest hardware available. 

• Next-generation CPUs from AMD and Intel, upgrading from older Xeon and EPYC Rome processors
  
• 100% NVMe storage, swapping out older SSDs with drives that are significantly faster
  
• Increased DDR5 RAM with faster speeds across the board, giving websites and applications more room to run quickly and efficiently

We’ve upgraded everything: power, cooling, and hardware. Everything’s faster, stronger, and will remain that way for years to come.
